We would like to welcome you at Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske in Goor and ask you to read these general terms and conditions.

By entering into a reservation made, these general terms and conditions become effective.

Main Guest

The individual who has made a reservation with Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske via a website, e-mail or telephone contact.
The main guest must be 25 years of age or older and is responsible for his or her fellow guests and must have a permanent place of residence.


The person who as owner of Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske or on behalf of the owner of Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske manages the Bed & Breakfast.

Third party

Any other person who is not a guest, manager or owner.

1 Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske

1.1 Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske is described, inter alia, on the websites:

These websites are compiled with the greatest care but there may be differences between the text and/or photos presented on the website and the actual situation at Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske at the time of the visit by our guests.
No rights can be derived by guests from such differences or any other inaccuracies on the websites.

1.2 The room is suitable for a maximum of two persons.

Unfortunately, you cannot bring pets, this for reasons of hygiene.
Smoking in and around the Bed & Breakfast is prohibited.

1.3 On the day of your arrival, your room will be available to you from 15:00 and you can stay with us until 20:00.
There may be no Manager present on arrival, in which case the Manager will ensure that you can enter by placing the key in a key safe and sharing its code with you in advance.
If you cannot be present at the indicated time, please inform us as soon as possible.
Different times are only possible by prior arrangement.
In connection with the cleaning of the rooms, you must leave them by 10.00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless otherwise agreed.

1.4 Breakfast is served in the room between 07.00 and 09.30.
Of course, you can also have breakfast outside on your terrace.
Different times for breakfast can only be discussed with us.
If you have special wishes for breakfast, gluten-free, low-salt, vegetarian, etc., please indicate this when you make your reservation with us. We may charge an extra fee per person for this, depending on your wishes.
It is not possible to book this afterwards.

1.5 The room has a private bathroom with shower, sink with hot & cold running water, toilet and includes the use of linen. The room also has a private outdoor terrace.

1.6 The car can be parked on one of the public parking spaces on Anjerstraat or Iependijk, parking is at your own risk.
Use of the caretaker’s private charging station (electric car) is only possible after consultation.
A public charging post is located 250 metres away, near Rozenstraat 2c.

1.7 Bicycles can be stored on the private terrace. There you can also charge any e-bikes.

1.8 Guests may not enter the Administrator’s private areas.

2 Prices

2.1 The prices of the rooms, and corresponding conditions, are described on our websites.

2.2 Prices do not include cancellation and/or travel insurance and/or other costs.

2.3 Prices are subject to interim changes for unforeseen circumstances, such as significant price increases of breakfast products or of energy.

2.4 A room is rented out per night. It is therefore not necessary to rent the room for only a few hours.

3 Reservation and payment

3.1 Reservations are in principle made via one of the websites.

3.2 After a reservation request has been made, you will receive a message from us as soon as possible with the relevant details, whether the desired room is still available for you and any further actions you need to take before the reservation is finalised.
If you fail to comply (on time) with the requested actions, the Manager is entitled to cancel the booking unilaterally, without any compensation being due.

3.3 At least fourteen days before your stay, you must pay the deposit, being the total amount of your booking. This can be done through payment via your personal booking page (with iDeal, Bancontact or Wire Transfer), or by transferring the amount manually to bank account number: NL60KNAB0609101595 in the name of Doktershuuske.
For last minute reservations, the amount can be paid in cash on arrival or by iDeal via the personal booking page.
In the unlikely event that nothing has been received after the agreed period, the reservation made will be cancelled immediately.
You will receive confirmation of cancellation from the Manager in this regard.

3.4 Gift vouchers must be redeemed within one year of the invoice date or fix a pre-planned date within the year of invoice date.
The gift voucher is transferable to a third party.
Gift vouchers and no-show or cancellation are subject to the cancellation conditions.

4 Cancellation conditions

4.1 Once a definite reservation for Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske has been made and confirmed, the following applies to cancellation of that reservation:
4.1.1 For cancellation more than 14 days in advance, cancellation is free of charge.
4.1.2 For cancellation 14 days or less before the arrival date, the cancellation fee is 100% of the total amount.

In order to qualify for a possible refund of the amount paid, you must notify us of the cancellation by e-mail as soon as possible.
After consultation, the agreed amount will be transferred to you as soon as possible, but no later than 15 working days.
No refunds will be made in the event of early departure; cancellation charges will also be payable if you do not show up (no-show).

4.2 Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske can only cancel the booking in the following cases: in the event of force majeure, natural disaster, exceptional weather conditions, fire, death of an Administrator or family, hospitalisation, unannounced sale or other unforeseen event as a result of which a booking cannot go ahead.
In any of these cases, the Owner will provide the Guest with an alternative offer as soon as possible.
If this is not possible or if the guest does not accept the offered alternative, the full amount will be refunded.
Any other damages resulting from the cancellation will not be compensated by the owner.

5 Complaints

5.1 We try to make your stay as pleasant as possible.
Despite our good care, it is still possible that you may have a complaint or comment.
In order to resolve them properly, we ask you to notify us as soon as possible on the spot, via e-mail or telephone contact.

6 Liability

6.1 Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske cannot be held liable for any damage suffered by the guest or third parties as a result of staying in the room concerned; the guest indemnifies Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske against any claims in this respect.
Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske is not liable for failures in and around the accommodation, such as failures and breakdowns of electricity, WiFi, television, water supplies and/or technical installations, as well as unannounced or untimely construction and/or road works in the vicinity of Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske.

6.2 Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske accepts no liability for loss, theft, damage or accidents caused to persons and/or property during or as a result of the stay in the room of Bed & Breakfast ‘t Doktershuuske.

6.3 The principal guest named in the booking confirmation is responsible for orderly conduct in and around the room concerned.
Things must be handled with care, the room must therefore be left tidy and decent.
This also applies to the use of any items in the room.
Breakage or damage must be reported by the guest to the owner immediately.
Any repair and/or replacement costs must be immediately reimbursed by the guest to the owner upon first request.
If, after checking out, it turns out that items have been left behind broken and this has not been reported to the owner, the bill for the repair and/or replacement costs incurred will follow.

7 Safety

7.1 For your own safety and that of the Managers, it is forbidden to smoke or use open flames inside the room.
Misuse of fire/extinguishers or disabling the smoke detector is not permitted.
The terrace is to be entered/used at your own risk.

7.2 Other facilities on the property must be used by guests with care and in accordance with their purpose.
The safety of any small child must be ensured by parents or supervisors.

8 Final provisions

8.1 Unless otherwise stipulated in rules of international private law, these terms and conditions are exclusively governed by Dutch law. Non-Dutch-speaking guests are also deemed to agree to the terms and conditions.

8.2 All disputes arising from the agreement or these terms and conditions shall be settled in the first instance by the competent court in the Netherlands, insofar as rules of international private law do not provide otherwise.

8.3 None of the parties may assign its rights and obligations to third parties insofar as these terms and conditions do not provide otherwise.

8.4 If and insofar as any provision in the user agreement and the present terms and conditions should prove to be void, the other terms and conditions shall remain in force and the void article shall be deemed to be converted in such a way as to bring it in line with the parties’ apparent intentions.
